"PITY PARTY" seems to delve into personal themes. What inspired you to write a song about your inner critic?
The inspiration came from my own struggles with negative thoughts and self-doubt.
It’s easy to let that inner critic take over, especially when you’re constantly
questioning your worth. I wanted to channel those feelings into something that could
resonate with others who might be feeling the same way.
Can you walk us through the creative process behind "PITY PARTY"?
How did you transform your feelings into music?
The writing process was very raw and honest. I walked into the studio feeling
vulnerable and shared some of my deepest emotions with the team. We used that
openness to shape the song into something real, and the music mirrored my
emotional state - dark, introspective, and layered.
Your music often explores deep emotions and self-doubt. How do you
stay connected to these feelings while creating your art?
I try to stay present with myself and allow my emotions to flow freely. Creating art
from a place of raw honesty requires vulnerability, so I let my guard down and
express what’s in my heart. Staying connected to those feelings is a constant
journey of self-reflection and introspection. Also putting all these emotions into art
feels like therapy which makes me feel very happy.
How do you think your new image for 2025 reflects your growth as an
artist?
My new image is a reflection of my inner growth. I’m embracing a more mature,
introspective, and bold edgy version of myself. It’s about owning who I am, both as
an artist and as a person, and showing my audience that change is a natural part of
growth. I needed that change and I’m glad I took that risk.
Your song "PITY PARTY" touches on tough emotions like self-doubt.
How do you hope listeners will connect with it?
I hope listeners can find comfort in the vulnerability of the song. Self-doubt is
something we all face, and if this track can help someone feel seen or understood,
then it’s done its job. My goal is for people to realize they’re not alone in their
struggles.
In your 2021 debut EP, "a little dramatic," you explored ballads and dark
pop. How did the reception of that album impact you as an artist?
The reception of "a little dramatic" was eye-opening. I was kind of new in the writing
process and this EP was just the beginning. It validated my desire to explore darker,
more introspective themes. It gave me the confidence to continue being
unapologetically myself and dive deeper into the complexities of emotion and
storytelling.
What does being named to Forbes Bulgaria’s 30 Under 30 list mean to
you, and how does it influence your work going forward?
Being included on the list was a humbling and empowering moment. It’s a reminder
that all the hard work and dedication are paying off. Moving forward, it motivates me
to keep pushing boundaries and stay focused on my vision while remaining true to
my roots.
You’ve been experimenting with darker themes and alternative pop
recently. How would you describe your musical evolution over the past
few years?
Over the past few years, I’ve grown a lot as an artist and songwriter, which makes
me really excited to dive deeper into the writing process. I’ll probably always have
that darker element in my music, as it feels like the most authentic representation of
who I am, and I really love it.
With all the changes and new music you're releasing, what message do
you want your fans to take away from your music in 2025?
In 2025, I want my music to create a safe space where people can fully experience
the emotions conveyed through the lyrics, music, and singing. The message I want
to share is to embrace who you are, not be ashamed of your emotions, and let them
out - because keeping them inside only makes everything feel heavier.
